Speak to a counselor via phone, text, or chat and get access to mental health and substance use services, in more than 200 languages. Provided by Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and Mayor's Office of Community Mental Health.

What it is

In New York City, support is always available if you’re experiencing anxiety, a crisis, grieving the loss of someone, or need support during a difficult moment. NYC Well counselors and peer support specialists can listen to your concerns.

Counselors can give you immediate support for problems like:

  • Stress, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol use
  • Crisis counseling and suicide prevention counseling
  • Support from Peer Specialists, who have personal experience with mental health or substance use challenges
