What it is

There are 15 syringe service programs across the city that provide critical services to people who use drugs. Services include:

  • sterile drug use supplies
  • overdose prevention education
  • harm reduction counseling.
  • connection to other services

Harm reduction can help reduce health risks connected to drug use. These risks include acute and chronic infections, and overdose.

Syringe Service Programs are open to all New Yorkers.
